Hat-Trick

Hat-Trick is a three part visual case study on the game of football/soccer.

THE THREADS - explores fanaticism in the form of portraits by carrying the essence of a fashion house lookbook showing off the large collection of kits owned and modeled by Alek Read.

THE DREAMS - explores competition through photographs on match day of a pro-level team. Images captured between Washington Spirit 2024 and 2025 Home Openers.

THE ROOTS - explores amateurism and the grassroots of the sport through a short documentary film of moving photographs covering an initiative to grow the game and retain its presence in the community beyond the playground.

Serving as EA's senior thesis, Hat-Trick was exhibited May 13-24, 2025 at the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture.
